This 6 week parenting course will discuss the causes of ADHD, typical management issues for parents and practical strategies that include psychological treatments, the importance of diet and sleep as well current educational provision for children and adolescents with ADHD.
The Course will be facilitated by Elizabeth McCrann, Senior Clinical Psychologist with over 25 years’ experience working with children and adolescents in CAMHS with a special interest in promoting resilience and self-regulation in children and adolescent with ADHD.
Who should attend
The course is open to all parents and carers whose teenagers who have ADHD. Where possible we recommend that both parents attend the course as we have found this helps the child the most. If you are a single parent, please feel free to bring along another supportive family member.
The course consists of six two hour group sessions in the Carmichael Centre, North Brunswick Street, Dublin 7, starting on the 10th October at 7.00pm. The cost of this course per person is €100 for members or €120 for non-members, to help couples attend the cost is €140 for members and €170 for non-members.
