HADD's mission is to make life better for people affected by ADHD

Critically acclaimed Fashion Designer and Artist Helen Steele talks about the positive aspects of ADHD  and how if she hadn’t had ADHD she may not have done many of the things that brought her to the successful position she is in now.  Helen also talks about the relief diagnosis brought and emphasises the importance of having someone who believed in her and in her case these have been teachers who were role models and steered her in the right direction.

Celebrated Chef Rozanne Stevens & recently diagnosed adult with ADHD talks about how getting a diagnosis really helped her. She talks about adapting her strengths and downplaying her weaknesses, finding her passion in life and how to channel her creative energy.  Rozanne also talks about how structure, getting lots of information about ADHD and building a support network really helps.

In the second part of our interview with Fintan O'Regan, Fintan talks about the difference in how ADHD presents in boys and in girls and the ratio between its presentation in each.  He discusses changes in DSM V. He also talks about how ADHD occurs across all socio-economic sectors.

Our thanks to Fintan for doing these interviews for HADD Ireland.
